ODE TO A LOST YETI

There's a long haired orange fella to the North of Kathmandu

He's standing there and staring there, and wondering what to do

Half his favourite mountain just landed where he'd been

And all his normal landmarks are no where to be seen

Every single climber has fled in sudden haste

There is no sign of any, nor any of their waste

Where his next meal comes from is now his greatest worry

For he normally scoffs their leftovers, like tinned sardines or curry

Now any rubbish that there was is 'neath the boulders strewn

And he's looking for his bearings by the light of the scudded moon

So all you nimble Sherpas and Ghurkas to a man

Spare a morsel for the Yeti whose wondering where he am

WHOSE MANIFESTO?

So which political party has come out with this one?

"For to everyone who has will more be given, and he will have an abundance

But for the one who has not, even what he has will be taken away"

Tory? Labour? Liberals? Well, actually it's from the Bible - Parable of the Talents, Mathew 25 verses 14-30
